Tucked away in a charming, ivy-covered and oh-so-French house in the tiny Provencal village of Goult, is the shoe-box sized boutique of Edith Mezard. Long-known as one of France’s most sophisticated “taste-makers”, Mme. Mezard has a few simple rules.One is:sell only the very finest — and sell only a few.Her jewel of a boutique is filled with luxurious, one-of-a-kind items that simply cannot be purchased anywhere else. Visiting Edith is definitely one of the highlights of our Trip to Provence. We fell in love with her signature tea-scented room candles and somehow persuaded the formidable Mme. Mezard to allow us to sell them here at the gallery.We are the only retailer in the United States offering these heavenly candles. For those of you who are familiar with the dark candles, Mme. Mezard is no longer making them. So the new version is the exact same scent, but ivory colored and in a beautiful and delicate frosted glass. We love it!! We admit that one of our main reasons for selling these candles is, quite simply, to keep ourselves in supply because we can't live without them! But how many times have people returned to our gallery and said, "Aaahhhh ... love that smell!" We're happy to disclose and happy to share, for as long as we can keep our wonderful supply of these heavenly scented candles burning in the gallery.
