June Ball is a landscape and seascape artist who works primarily in oil on canvas. Her paintings are informed by natural settings but are personal interpretations more than realistic portrayals.

The artist's work has been widely exhibited on the East Coast from New York to Florida and is represented in many institutional, corporate and governmental collections. Ms. Ball grew up in Nashville, Tennessee, and presently lives with her family in Athens, Georgia. She holds her AB degree from Wellesley College and MFA from the University of Georgia. She describes her paintings as "arising from my feelings about certain contexts and times as well as from my deep love of color."

In the words of the artist:  “My paintings are responses to particular settings but they are not necessarily about those settings. They express feelings drawn from certain times and contexts. There are few realistic details in the paintings and no people or signs of people. I have made them mine in a certain way by putting them in paint on canvas. I try to share with the viewer the images of serenity I find in the natural world.”
