Meg Harrington and Ann Huff with painting by Ashley Peters
What happens when two committed Francophiles and art lovers get together over a bottle of red wine? A fine arts gallery with a little je ne sais quoi is born.
Huff Harrington Fine Art, Ltd. is the collaboration of two Atlanta women, Ann Huff and Meg Harrington. Prior to establishing our joint gallery, we separately represented more than 20 American and European artists. For several years, we actively and successfully sold fine art privately in metro Atlanta. Over the years, we became friends and fans of each other’s work. It was a natural progression to merge our businesses and open a retail gallery.
Next came the task of finding gallery space. We were delighted to find our cottage, located in Atlanta’s busy Buckhead neighborhood. With plenty of wall space, excellent lighting and homey feel, we knew the cottage was perfect and in keeping with our philosophy of selling art in a comfortable, homey and friendly environment.
Over the years, we’ve found that our taste in art has connected well with that of our clients. We feel strongly that one of our goals at Huff Harrington Fine Art, Ltd. is to responsibly help our clients begin or expand their collection of art from established and emerging artists. Part of that responsibility is to represent reputable artists whom we know and like, and to offer original art that is unique, enjoyable and attainable.
Likewise, we are deeply committed to promoting and growing with our artists. Our wide repertoire includes local, regional and out-of-state artists, and several French painters whom we’ve gotten to know and respect over the course of many extended trips to Provence. Our finely selected art ranges from traditional, impressionistic paintings to modern, abstract work. In fact, we like to think there’s something at this gallery to suit every art lover's taste.
We’d love to see you at Huff Harrington Fine Art, Ltd.
Ann Huff was raised in Geneva, Switzerland and graduated from Swarthmore College with a B.A. in Art History. She spent 20 years working in marketing and advertising, specializing in the management of marketing communications groups and graphic designers in New York, Boston and Atlanta. In 2000, she and her family took a year’s sabbatical and moved to the South of France to experience a different life and expose the entire family to French culture and language. In the process, Huff met and cultivated friendships with several talented local artists.Upon returning to the United States and seeing a demand for high-quality, affordable original art in the Atlanta market, she decided to represent a number of French artists. She began hosting highly successful art shows in her home, selling as many as 80 paintings in two days, and began building a strong following of clients. To meet the continued demand for this kind of art and having outgrown a home-based business, Huff teamed up in 2005 with Meg Harrington to open Huff Harrington Fine Art. An Atlanta resident for more than 12 years, Meg Harrington realized one of her life’s goals with the opening of Huff Harrington Fine Art. An occasional, but enthusiastic painter herself, Harrington sold art privately in Atlanta, representing several Southeastern artists before opening the gallery.Born in New York, Harrington spent the first 16 years of her life living in Europe, Scandinavia and the Middle East, traveling extensively with her family. Her love of art blossomed from an early age when she was exposed to some of the world’s most renown museums and art collections. Her interest in drawing, painting and art developed through her education. After studying at Stetson University and Universite de Dijon (France), she earned a B.A. in French.Harrington then worked in public relations in New York City for Accor, the French hotel conglomerate and continued in the public relations arena in Palm Beach. After moving to Atlanta, Harrington began raising her children and became heavily involved with local philanthropic and volunteer organizations.
